An original farm house, built in 1910, it has gleaming wooden floors, high ceilings and stained glass doors, as well as beautiful antiques, a true reflection of a bygone gracious era. Ideally located in the beautiful garden suburb of Walmer, which is centrally situated close to the airport, less than 5 minutes to our popular beaches and within walking distance to fabulous restaurants and pubs. Walmer Park Shopping Centre, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, cinemas and other entertainment, is less than 5 minutes’ drive away as well as the new Moffett on Main Lifestyle Centre. The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is 5 km away.

Home-cooked evening meals are available by prior arrangement including preferences such as Halaal, Kosher, and Vegan and may more. An indoor and outdoor braai facility, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen is available for those who prefer the self-catering option. Nottingham has been graded by The Grading Council of South Africa as a 3 star establishment in the guesthouse category as has also received the AA Highly Recommend. We are also a member of the NAAS, National Accommodation Association of South Africa as well as PEMBBA Port Elizabeth Metro Bed and Breakfast Association, so you can be assured of your choice to stay with us. The staffs speak English, Afrikaans, Xhosa and some German.

• Nottingham Country House is Great

  I was met at Port Elizabeth by the owners and I was very pleased with the accommodation and excellent food. The room was well appointed, very clean, the staff were courteous and helpful and the grounds were very attractive. I had a great stay there and would definitely return.
